The staff were very friendly and eager to please. The hotel was comfortable and relaxing and in beautiful grounds. The food was nice but a little bit expensive.
The only thing that spoilt a perfect stay was that the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in.
Location and setting were beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful with friendly atmosphere
At breakfast, after not being approached by waiting staff for 10 mins, I had to find somebody to ask for coffee and the scrambled eggs were wet and sloppy!
I had a great room, the dining area was very nice, and I enjoyed the grounds. Staff were helpful
The rooms and the friendlyness of the entire staff.
I have stayed a couple of times now as it is a great location for visiting my clients and I will stay again. Both times I have stayed in the coach house which is a lovely quaint building separate from the hotel but in the same grounds. The restaurant is in a large conservatory area at the back of the hotel overlooking gardens and fields. Makes a lovely setting for an evening meal and a nice way to wake in the morning whilst having breakfast.
The only problem I found is that the phone signals in the coach house are terrible and I therefore could not access the internet and found it a little frustrating not being able to use my mobile.
we had a warm welcome excellent food and although there was a wedding on did not hear any noise.
we found breakfast a bit over done and coffee not that hot
The room was good, as was the en-suite; it was separate to the main building and so was quiet and overlooked the kitchen garden only so was private.
The en-suite should have the glass in the windows replaced with obscure glass.
The grounds of the hotel were lovely, the rooms were of a very good size, quite large. The hotel was very clean throughout. Breakfast was tasty.
Being charged 10% for cash back at the hotel reception.
Very efficient staff and very welcoming. My room was lovely and very clean.
As a single woman travelling on business on my own, I would have maybe preferred to have been in the main building rather than in the annexe, as I didn't see anyone at all during my stay so it was quite lonely.
T he staff were very helpful and pleasent.
The room we had was a twin bed one, it was very constricted for two people although the bathroom was almost as big, I would stay there again provided a larger twin room was available.
The staff and the facilities were excellent and we really enjoyed our stay here.we would and already have recommended it to friends.we look forward to returning to stay here in the future
No complaints at all
Good location, pleasant helpful staff, attractive conservatory restaurant together with the facility of being able to eat in the conservatory lounge next to the bar.. Even though there was a wedding, the main reception took place on the opposite side so we were not disturbed. Bedroom was clean and comfortable with a bright bathroom. We were in a double deluxe so I cannot speak about the other rooms. The upper landing decoration still has eighties style wallpaper but that isn't as important as the fact that we enjoyed our stay in this pleasant, bright hotel and yes, we would return.
I liked everything but the bar didn't have avert good choice but I loved everything else
1. Could not open any windows for fresh air ,they are all stuck shut with paint. 2.Asked reception twice to replace dim bulb in bathroom, it did not happen but someone did come on and switch the shaving mirror light on,we think they thought we may have not known how to switch this on. 3.Not enough towels. Overall very comfortable, well decorated ,good breakfast and courteous staff.
The help from the staff on arrival
